The cool teleporting kids

We were learning about movie making.

We found it easy to come up with ideas for our movie, and act out the scenes together as a team. We also found it easy to communicate within our group, and agree on what we all needed to do to make the movie.

We found it hard to edit the movie, and also agreeing on the same title. We had trouble figuring out where the scenes were going to take place as well.

We really enjoyed acting out the scenes, talking with the group and coming up with different ideas. We liked using our imagination to come up with different ideas for our movie.

Next time we need to practice more on our editing and acting skills, and need to try working through the editing process together and slower so we can make a better quality movie.

My Digital Day

We are learning about how we advertise ourselves online we talked about only posting things online. that keep us safe. We learned how tagging photos and posts make it easier to find out about someone so we  need to be careful about our posts content. We used  ctrl H to go on History to see what we were doing.
I found it easy to find some of the icons. I found it hard to find the word rumble icon. I really enjoyed finding out that history was there and we could see what we were doing.

Octopus

We were learning about poems and language features. The poem we were reading was the Octopus. I found it easy to record myself reading the poem. I found it hard to find the verbs in the poem because I am still learning about them.

I really enjoyed to find nouns in the poem. Next time I will try my best to find verbs in the next poem.

We are learning about our digital footprint. We talked about private and public information.

I learned not to give your  number away.

I already knew about people can come  to your house when you give away your address.

Sir Peter Blake

 

Last term Blake NZ visited. We learned about marine Reserves. We were able to use the VR sets to explore the ocean. I found it easy to learn about the kina eating the seaweed   because the VR set made it interesting.

I found it hard not to scream when the sting ray came up to me, I got scared because it was big and it felt like it was right there.

I really enjoyed looking at the animals that we see in the VR sets like the dolphins. 

Clickety-Clack Cicada

We have been learning about language features during Literacy. The way we have been doing this is by reading and understanding poems. Some of the features we identified in the poems are metaphors, verbs, onomatopoeia, and adjectives. This week we read Clickety-Clack Cicada by Jill Brasell.

I found it easy to identify some of the language features such as onomatopoeia.

I found it hard to find verbs in the poem because I am just learning about them.

I really enjoyed reading the line What a noisy song! in the poem.

I need to work on discussing the poem more and sharing my ideas with my buddies.

The Loaves

We were learning about metaphors of the poem.

I did not know what metaphors are.

I found It easy to colour in my drawings on the sides.

I found It hard to find more metaphors in the story.

I really enjoyed talking about the metaphors in the poem. My favourite metaphor was about the clouds being loaves of bread.

Next time I can try to make some metaphors for my own writing like the sun is a big orange balloon.
